You may have some questions about this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest and how it will be organised. Hopefully, we have answered some questions you may have had.
When & Where
The 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Sunday 29th November. TVP will hold it in a large TV Studio complex in Warsaw – rather than the usual arena set-up.
Country Participation
Countries are still confirming participation or awaiting further instructions from the European Broadcasting Union. The final list of participants usually is revealed in July or August, however with the current pandemic, this maybe delayed. Rules for the Contest states a maximum of 20 Countries can participate.
The Coronavirus
TVP and the EBU are working in conjunction with the Polish Health Authorities to ensure the Contest can go ahead as planned. Different scenarios will be examined in case the TV Studio set-up cannot be used.
Audience
Due to the current pandemic, it is too early to say whether an audience will be present at this year’s Contest or not. If an audience can attend, ticket information will be released in the future.
