The date of the first Semi Final of Eesti Laul has been moved from 26th January to 31st January. This means both Semi Finals, the second on 02nd February, will both take place in the same week. They will both be hosted in Tartu, at the Tartu Sports Hall. Originally, the Semi Finals were to be held in separate cities, but for financial reasons, only one was chosen.
While over the last week there were rumours that the number of song submissions was low, it has been revealed that there was many submissions on deadline day. Many well known Estonian acts have entered, with entries submitted in Estonian, Russian, English, Spanish and German.
Tickets for both Semi Finals in Tartu, as well as the Final in Tallinn, at the Saku Suurhall, go on sale tomorrow.
Last year, Elina Nechayeva represented Estonia with La Forza. Elina reached the Final in Lisbon, placing 8th with 245 points.
