GPB, the national broadcaster of Georgia, has today confirmed that their capital Tbilisi, will indeed be the host city of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Georgia are hosting the contest for the first time after Mariam Mamadashvili took victory with the song Mzeo.
The news was announced via GPB’s website (http://1tv.ge/en/news/view/151462.html) after a visit from Jon Ola Sand (Executive Supervisor for JESC) and Gert Kark (Project Manager for JESC) attended their first meeting with the host broadcaster.
Further details still to be announced include the date, venue and branding of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This information will be announced over the coming months.
