The commercial broadcasting company SIGMA TV have openly announced that they are willing to work in partnership with Cypriot Broadcaster CyBC to secure a Eurovision entry for Cyprus at Eurovision 2014. This news comes days after CyBC announcing their withdrawal from the contest.
The Deputy Chief of SIGMA TV, Mr Dimitris Tsokaris, has said to “Showtime-CY” – “We are willing to produce the national selection and the necessary expenses for the song and the artist like MAD TV did for Greece last year… it’s never too late for CyBC to change their minds, there’s still time.”
Might this be a lifeline for the Mediterranean island to participate at Eurovision 2014? We will keep you updated
